Material – Duncan Kramer and Dan Monck

Duncan Kramer and Dan Monck make & design buildings, furniture, and other things. Duncan (by the fire) and Dan (lying on the bench) have worked together since they met in this dusty but wonderful Dalston furniture workshop in about 1992. Six years ago they moved to their current workshop and office in Kentish Town. This is a co-operative workplace building that they designed.

115 Bartholomew Road

“115 Bartholomew Road is a hymn to workshop practice in the tradition of Gerrit Rietveld and Jean Prouvé.”

Tanya Harrod – Domus, December 2003

Their fortunes have been intertwined for a long time - 16 years.

How will they go on?
A talk, from both of them.
Illustrated with pictures of gutters, desks, oak houses and PlantLock.
They will also show Making Buildings, 4 simultaneous videos (part of a Crafts Council exhibition, Walsall Art Gallery).
