The Weird and Wonderful History of the Future: how we learnt to predict how we would live, love and work.

Modern architecture has a long-standing preoccupation with the future. But the future, too, has a history. This lecture charts the predictably eccentric, ‘weird and wonderful’ territory of vision, desire, prediction and futurology, from Greek oracles to present-day scientific approaches.
