Crispin Kelly of Baylight Properties presents:
Hands off our suburbs
Trained as an architect, Crispin Kelly has worked as a developer enjoying what more talented architects can offer. For the past couple of years he has been concentrating on building a better Barratt home. His pattern book is emerging with house types from Tony Fretton, Stephen Taylor and Sergison Bates amongst others.
Designing a house is one thing, but what about a community?
Crispin has been researching successful suburbs and slowly becoming aware that the metropolitan intelligentsia has it in for them. Saying they should be dense was bad enough, but the last straw was the idea that they should be infected with public realm.
