YoulHwaDang Book Hall Building, Paju Book City designed by Florian Beigel + Architecture Research Unit, with Choi JongHoon + Network in Architecture, Seoul, has been nominated in the Brit Insurance Design Awards 2010 at the Design Museum, London. The Brit Insurance Designs of the Year is the Design Museum’s annual exhibition of the most innovative, interesting and forward-looking new work in design of all kinds, from around the world. The exhibition presents around 100 projects which are a selection from those nominated by a group of internationally respected design experts, curators, critics, practitioners and enthusiasts.
The nominated designs fall into seven categories – architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, interactive, product and transport. A winner for each category will be selected by an international jury and one overall winner will be awarded Brit Insurance Design of the Year 2010 at an awards dinner in March.
